Famous for his greatest hits and kind persona, Jon Bon Jovi is one of those calm yet extremely talented people that bring a lot of good in the world.
John Bon Jovi was born in New Yersey in 1962 to Carol and John Bongiovi. His birth name was John Francis Bongiovi and was always a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen. He started to hang around local clubs, dreaming of the day that he would become a rock star.
Jon started to play local gigs and soon he met David Bryan, a highschool friend and a keyboardist with whom he started a band called Atlantic City Expressway.
When Jon was 18 years old he released his first song by the name of “Runaway” that got played by the local radio and was given increasingly more air time because of its popularity. Jon, David Alex John Such, TIco Torres and the legendary guitarist Richie Samborra were soon the new and upgraded band that signed a record deal with PolyGram.
A great future for a new found band
The new band that Jon established had achieved quickly great success. They were famous because of their power ballads and guitar melodies that were emotionally inspiring and people loved them. Their first album saw the day of light in 1984 named after the group which was a huge success.
The band played many times as an opening act to other famous groups like the Scorpions, Kiss and Judas priest and others. This has allowed Bon Jovi to build a huge fan base and their album “Slippery When Wet”, a response to critics has sold over 14 million records giving it a place next to Michael Jacksons Thriller at that time.

With the release of their hit single “Its My Life” in 2000, Bon Jovi gained masses of popularity with younger people and since their creating have released 14 albums. They were signed into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2006 and in 2004 received the Award of Merit at the American Music Awards.
